Interview with 4RKids Executive Director Rachel Mcvay
4RKids Executive Director Rachel Mcvay spoke with Enidlive about the upcoming 21st annual 4RKids Carnival, which will take place on Saturday, September 22 from 10 am to 1 pm at 710 Overland Trail. Some of the activities will include rides, carnival games, food, dollar mini-golf, pony rides, and a petting zoo.
Mcvay spoke about what’s special about the event saying “not always is the community fully integrated with those with developmental disabilities” She went on to say “It’s nice to be able to see them happy and healthy and really able to participate in the carnival and walk”.
Another hallmark of the event is Developmental Dissabilities Awareness Walk. Mcvay says the walk “gives a voice to the life that they live”. For the walk, they start at 4RKids and finish the walk at their shredding facility nearby.
