Come fellowship with amateur radio enthusiasts at the Enid Amateur Radio Club’s Enid Hamfest!

Slated for Sept. 20 at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center, the event runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and invites participants to explore the world of ham radio—learning the ins and outs and even applying to become a licensed amateur radio operator.

Amateur radio—otherwise known as “ham radio”—is a community hobby and service that connects people, electronics, and communication. Enthusiasts use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, and even into space—all without the internet or cell phones.

Admission is $10 at the door.
