In this interview, EnidLIVE’s Colby Talley sat down with Logan Wright from the Red Cross to discuss the ongoing storm relief effort at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center for the victims of the storm.

Wright began by discussing who the Red Cross is and what they do:

“The Red Cross is a disaster agency that comes to all sorts of places and all sorts of disasters. This is a very busy season for us, so we are so thankful for everyone who’s already come and donated water, food, and set us up with our feeding and those kinds of things. Right now, our main need is money and cash flow to be able to respond to these as quickly as possible.”

Wright shared more information about the effort, as well as mentioning the shelter available:

“We had seven people stay overnight in our shelters, and that shelter is still open. [An] overnight stay is not required to receive services from the Red Cross. You can drop by and get a meal, get some water, be out of the sun, charge your phone; just anything that you need in this recovery service, we can take care of here at this shelter. We also have people here who are doing damage assessments and helping people on the next step to recovering from this disaster.”

The Red Cross is taking walk-ins throughout the storm effort.
