WASHINGTON, July 23 (Reuters) – The U.S. Senate on Thursday blocked a Democratic-led resolution aiming to stop the Iran war until hostilities are authorized by Congress. The resolution reflects growing congressional concern, even among President Donald Trump’s Republicans, over the war.

The Senate voted 49 to 47 not to advance the war powers resolution.
