(Santa Clara, CA) – The NFL is suspending San Francisco 49ers’ owner Jed York for six games and fining him 500-thousand dollars. The NFL says York violated the league’s personal conduct policy after he was arrested on suspicion of soliciting prostitution in Ohio. He pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges in late August. He did not attend any of the 49ers’ first three games, which will count as time served toward the full suspension. He will be allowed to return to the team on October 20th. York has issued an apology and says he accepts the NFL’s decision “in full.”
