(Bend, OR) – Investigators are searching for answers after tragedy struck a central Oregon community Thursday in the form of a deadly school shooting. Authorities say a 16-year-old gunman opened fire at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, killing three children and one teacher. The gunman was ultimately shot and killed by an armed bystander but not before two other people, a teacher and a student, were injured. There’s been no word yet on a possible motive.
