(Corinth, MS) – President Trump is hitting the campaign trail in support of Republicans and the midterm elections draw near. He heads to Mississippi today where he’s scheduled to hold a rally in support of incumbent Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith as polling shows the race between Hyde-Smith and Democratic challenger Scott Colom becoming more competitive. Trump was in Michigan yesterday, as he looks to shore up support for GOP senate candidate Mike Rogers. Rogers is locked in a tight race with Democrat Abdul El-Sayed, who the president called a “jihadist” and a “Muslim Brotherhood member” and who former President Obama rallied in support of over the weekend.
