BRASILIA (Reuters) – Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro directly planned and acted in a criminal conspiracy that aimed to carry out a coup after his failed 2022 re-election bid, a formal accusation from Brazil’s police showed on Tuesday.
Federal police released on Tuesday the full contents of a formal accusation against the ex-president, a limited version of which was filed last week and accused Bolsonaro and dozens of ex-ministers and senior aides of plotting a coup to overturn the election.
