Christy Baker with RSVP Enid spoke with CTB News about her upcoming Lip Sync Battle at the Stride Bank Center. June 30th at 7:00 pm. Money raised from the event will go towards RSVP and the Elder Abuse Multidisciplinary Team.
Local organizations will battle it out for 1st place during the event by putting on lip-sync performances with choreography and costumes. “Baker described the event saying “We like to call the event our un-gala, gala because we get to wear our ripped jeans and favorite band t-shirt and just have a good time”.
Baker described the performances in one word “explosive”. The performances also have a wide variety of performances ranging from country to pop, rock, and even rap. Pictures from past performances can be seen on the Enid RSVP Facebook page.
Baker went on to discuss some of the services RSVP Enid provides including providing meals for seniors, operating the Enid Senior Center, and providing between 20,000-30,000 lbs. of food in partnership with Tyson to local non-profits.
