Enid, and the State of Oklahoma Face Extreme Heat

The city of Enid is expected to deal with extreme heat later today, the National Weather Service has currently predicted a high of 93 degrees with the heat index expected to reach 115 degrees. This extreme heat can be dangerous so make sure you take precautions and limit your time outdoors today.

The National Weather Service issued some tips to make sure you are staying safe.

  • Never leave children, pets, or those with limited mobility alone in vehicles
  • If working outside take breaks inside or in the shade, and stay hydrated
  • Also check on others during extreme heat events

Even if you aren’t working outdoors make sure you are drinking plenty of water throughout the day.
