The Enid Police announced on Saturday, June 26th that the department was involved in the shooting of a suspect armed with a knife. The incident occurred at 2:20 am that morning at the Chisholm Trail Motel at 2915 N. 4th.
EPD was at the motel serving 2 felony arrest warrants for Dominique Terry Jackson age 27 when he rushed at police brandishing a knife. Officers then shot Jackson several times before then attempting life-saving measures on Jackson who was transported by ambulance to Bass Integris Hospital and then the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Jackson’s warrants were out of Grant County for failure to appear for lewd molestation and forced sodomy. The Enid Police Department announced that the OSBI is investigating the incident.
