The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commission are planning three special events in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 15, 2024.
The first event will be a prayer breakfast at the Central Assembly of God on 1202 Oxford Ave. The breakfast will last from 8-10 a.m.
A Commemorative March will begin at the Stride Bank Center. The march will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will commemorate the March on Washington that featured 250,000 people who attended King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
Finally, a celebration program will be held in the Stride Bank Center Grand Ballroom at 1:30 p.m.
