Mustang’s Western Days is held each year on the first full weekend following Labor Day. On Friday evening, sample tasty recipes, compete in the Best-Dressed Cowboy & Cowgirl Contest and enjoy gospel music at the chili cook-off. Be sure to attend the Mustang Round Up Club Rodeo for action-packed fun on both Friday and Saturday evening.

On Saturday, take part in a 5K or fun run with the Western Stampede Run, then head out to the pancake breakfast. Watch as decorated floats, marching bands and more roll down the street in the parade, and browse various arts and craft booths while enjoying live music and entertainment, including a magic show and coloring contest for kids and a pet show.

Western Days also hosts the Stampede Car Show, where you can admire the shiny chrome and sleek paint jobs of classic vehicles in all kinds of makes and models. This year will also include a Chuckwagon Cook-off and a feature presentation by the Guthrie Gunfighters. Don’t forget to grab a snack from one of the many food vendors and let the kids take part in a cornhole tournament, knockerball, archery tag, helicopter rides, carnival games and family entertainment.
