This morning the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office announced that 114th and Southgate will be closed for several days due to the derailment of 16 train cars. The derailments were caused by the high winds from this morning’s storms.
Vance Airforce Base experienced winds of 85 mph at around 4:00 am this morning, while other parts of Enid experienced winds of up to 65 mph. Damage from the storms also occurred in Fairmont.
