The Kremlin-Hillsdale Boosters announced their annual Lip Sync Battle. The event will be on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the KHS Gymnasium.
President of the Boosters Kelli Schovanec recently had an interview with EnidLIVE! discussing the event. You can listen to the full interview at the top of this story.
Schovanec discussed how the event will be structured.
“Right now we have about eight acts that are signed up to perform,” Schovanec said. “We have a meal by donation at 5:30 (p.m.), and so from 5:30 (p.m.) to 6:30 (p.m.) we’ll have a meal for whoever wants to show up; at 6:30 (p.m.) the show starts.”
Schovanec also talked about how the event has grown since 2019.
“When we did it in 2019, we honestly didn’t know what was gonna happen (or) how many people were gonna show up; it ended up being a lot of fun,” Schovanec said. “The community really embraced it. We’ve added pieces to it here and there over the years. But everyone seems to love it, it’s a fun night, there’s lots of laughs, it’s fun to see the kids come out of their shell.”
Finally, Schovanec spoke about her favorite performances over the years.
“We had Billy Ray Cyrus one year which was really good,” Schovanec said. “The Napoleon Dynamite was a really good one. We’ve had some younger kids who come in and their choreography is amazing. The Blues Brothers was good . . . the kids put in so much time and effort into choreographing and there’s so many we’ve seen, so many acts. I’ve probably seen over 100 acts at Kremlin over the last 5 years, it’s hard to have a favorite.”
