About Lee Matthews
Louisiana born, and Sooner bred. Mom was from South Louisiana, Dad from Oklahoma City.
Grandpop worked at the old Phillips plant, (where Ft. Smith Junction is now). Lee got into the business when he was only 15, “I had an FCC license before I had a driver’s license”, he said.
Always concerned with local, state, and national issues, Lee sifts through the marketed content to not only tell you what is really going on, but give you better ways to understand it. Especially at the local level. “Guns for Everybody!”, his catch-phrase can be heard due to his enthusiasm for fire arms and the Second Amendment. “The phrase was born out of some good-natured ribbing I was giving an anti-gun caller, and the audience loved it”.
When not on the air nor shooting at the gun range, Lee can be found cooking, cruising one of the local lakes, scuba diving, jogging, skiing, and working in the yard of the “Matthews Mansion”.
