The Waukomis Police Department announced on the morning of Monday, July, 10th that a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 81 and Hayward Rd. Emergency services responded to the incident at 4:55 am Monday, July 10th.
Medical personnel determined the victim was deceased after an evaluation. The driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the Waukomis Police Department, and the Garfield County Sheriff’s Department are all investigating the incident.
