A personal injury collision reported in Kingfisher County a half a mile south of Cashion has sent one person to the hospital.
Colton Wayne George, 22, was headed southbound on East 850 Rd. in his 1996 Chevrolet Silverado with his passenger Kyle Brian Gray, 21, at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday. The vehicle departed the roadway to the right, struck a ditch and an AT&T underground cable pole and came to rest on its side.
George was pinned in the vehicle for 35 minutes before the Cashion Fire Department was able to free him.
Gray was transported by Miller EMS to Integris Baptist in Oklahoma City where he was treated and released. Meanwhile, George was transported to OU Medical Center where he was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk, internal and leg injuries.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, however the scent of alcohol was reported inside the vehicle by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
