(Washington, DC) – President Trump moved to cancel almost a billion dollars in spending approved by Congress. The White House announced the move late Friday. The administration said it was canceling 567-million dollars in spending on services for refugees, asylym seekers and other migrants through the Department of Health and Human Services. The White House is also rescinding 50-million dollars for other programs that help immigrants, 70-million dollars in what it called “Woke International Education” grants and fellowships along with 56-million dollars in Housing and Urban Development programs. The White House said, “President Trump is committed to utilizing all possible tools to cut wasteful and harmful government spending that does not benefit American citizens.”
