Retired NASA Astronaut Col. Eileen Collins will be holding a book signing event at Putnam Six Bookstore on Wednesday, May 15 from 5-7 p.m.
The event will feature her signing copies of her memoir “Through The Glass Ceiling To The Stars.”
Collins served on the astronaut support team before becoming an astronaut in July 1991. She became the first woman to pilot and command a Space Shuttle. Then, Collins went on to fly on shuttle missions STS-63, STS-84, STS-93 and STS-114 as a veteran flyer.
Collins retired from NASA in May 2006 after logging roughly 872 hours in space.
