The 109th Annual Ringwood Community Watermelon Festival will be taking place at various locations within Ringwood. KNID will be there on Saturday 2nd, broadcasting live from 10 am to noon.
EnidLive also recently had an interview with Junior and Brazney about the Community Fair. Both gave their response to a question about how smaller towns need to have events such as this. He stated, “The small communities suffer when we don’t have the people come out and support it.” As stated by Brazney, “It really helps. We’re the next generation of adults now. Our kids are growing up . . . so we’re really trying to keep this something for us to continue with our families.”
They also stated their favorite parts about the fair. Quoted from Brazney, “My favorite thing is always the big Saturdays. So the big Saturday will not only have one bounce house, but we’ll have a double slide water bounce house as well. This is a new small local business that started this year so we really wanted to support them.”
Upon the question about this year being the full comeback for the fair after COVID-19, Junior gave his response. “I definitely think the community . . . now that everything pretty much settled and everything is getting, for the most part normal, I think the community is ready to get out and explore the fair and enjoy everything that it used to be.”
