A two-vehicle collision that happened at the intersection of North Grand and West Randolph on Tuesday sent one person to the hospital.
Mary Nelson, 48, was travelling northbound on North Grand in her 2017 GMC Terrain when she attempted to turn left onto West Randolph. At the same time, Deirdre Butler, 49, was travelling southbound on North Grand in her 2017 Nissan Maxima with the intent of travelling straight through the same intersection.
Nelson’s vehicle struck Butler’s vehicle in the left front quarter panel. According to the collision report from the Enid Police Department, Butler claimed that is seemed as if Nelson made a late decision to turn left at the intersection.
Butler was transported by Life EMS to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center where she was admitted with non-incapacitating trunk injuries. Nelson was reported as being uninjured in the collision report.
