Oklahoma Sorghum Producers to Hold Information Session at 2026 KNID Agrifest

The Oklahoma Sorghum Producers, as a part of their annual meeting, are set to hold an informational session at 10 a.m. on Friday at the 29th Annual KNID Agrifest.

Sorghum growers and any other interested agriculturists in the area are free to attend the session, which will be held in the seminar room in the northeast corner of the Chisholm Trail Expo Center.

Dr. Josh Lofton, assistant professor and cropping systems specialist at Oklahoma State University, and Dr. Brian Arnall, OSU precision nutrient management specialist, will share their latest findings on variety trial performances, fertilizer applications and answer questions about growing sorghum, also known as milo, in the region. The session will also feature Mason Mungle, board president of the Royalty Owners Coalition of Oklahoma (ROCO), who will share information relevant to mineral and surface owners.

The session is also expected to receive a visit from the Honorable Eddie Fields, state director for the Farm Service Agency. Fields served in both the Oklahoma Senate and House of Representatives before being appointed to his current position.

The 29th Annual KNID Agrifest will take place from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9 and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10. The event will happen at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center on the Garfield County Fairgrounds.
