June 15 (Reuters) – Gold miner Newmont said on Monday that Brian Tabolt was named as its new CFO, replacing Peter Wexler, who has been the company’s finance head on an interim basis.
Tabolt, who joined the company in 2021 from Molson Coors Beverage, was most recently Newmont’s chief accounting officer and group head of finance. His appointment is effective July 1.
Last year, the company announced the departure of the then-CFO Karyn Ovelmen and named Wexler as the interim finance chief.
The appointment comes alongside other senior leadership changes, including the naming of Mark Rodgers as chief operating officer and David Thornton as chief technical officer, as the world’s largest gold miner looks to sharpen capital discipline and performance.
