Aug 24 (Field Level Media) – The Chicago Fire loaned homegrown defender Christopher Cupps to Scotland’sGreenock Morton FC on Monday.
The loan runs through the end of 2026, with Chicago retaining the right torecall the teenager at any point.
“We are excited to see Christopher continue to develop during the rest of theyear in a new and challenging environment,” Fire sporting director GreggBroughton said. “He has a very high potential and promising future at theChicago Fire and has stepped up to every challenge he has faced so far.Playing competitive matches during the rest of the year will only help himmature as a player and as a person.”
Cupps, 18, has appeared in six matches (three starts) for the Fire over thepast two seasons.
