Sept 13 (Reuters) – Dell CEO Michael Dell’s DFO Management is nearing a take-private deal for insurance brokerage firm The Baldwin Insurance Group, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.
DFO Management is in advanced talks with Baldwin over a deal which is expected to value the U.S. insurance distributor at a premium, the newspaper said, citing people familiar with the matter.
Reuters could not immediately verify the report. Baldwin Insurance Group and DFO Management did not respond to requests for comment outside business hours.
Baldwin, which is valued at around $4.14 billion according to LSEG data, provides risk management solutions, insurance advisory, and tech-enabled underwriting to businesses and individuals.
Tampa-based Baldwin said in July that its adjusted diluted earnings per share increased 14% year-over-year to 48 cents in the second quarter of 2026, and the company’s total revenue increased 30% year-over-year to $492.9 million.
