The City of Enid’s Public Utilities and Parks & Recreation will host Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day and Environmental Fun Fair.
Both events will happen on Saturday, May 4th at Crosslin Park at the following times:
- Household Waste Collection will be from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- The Environmental Fun Fair will occur from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The fair will be fun for the whole family featuring crafts, activities, games and much more! Food trucks and Kona Ice will be there and Enid Animal Welfare will present animal adoptions.
Here are the accepted materials for collection:
- Pesticides & herbicides
- Oil-based paints & stains
- Lawn care products
- Pool chemicals
- Old fuels
- Craft and hobby supplies
- Pharmaceuticals
The following are accepted recyclables:
- Cardboard
- Paper
- Aluminum cans
- Tin cans
- #1 and #2 plastic
Here are the items that the City of Enid will not accept:
- Commercial waste
- Ammunition and explosives
- Medical and infectious waste
- Radioactive waste
- Mixed chemicals
