Hizbullah Leader Warns of Continued Conflict If Israel Maintains Gaza Offensive

By The Media Line Staff

In a significant development from Lebanon, the leader of Hizbullah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, issued a stern warning on Monday, stating that residents of northern Israel would not be able to safely return to their homes for the upcoming school year if Israel persists with its military actions in Gaza. The pronouncement came amid ongoing exchanges of fire between Hizbullah and the Israeli military across the southern Lebanese border, coinciding with the broader conflict in Gaza.

Hizbullah, a powerful Lebanese armed group, has intensified its rocket attacks on Israel, aligning itself with Hamas and aiming to deter any potential Israeli aggression in Lebanon. During a televised speech, Nasrallah emphasized the unbreakable bond between the Lebanese front and Gaza and reaffirmed that Hizbullah would continue its military actions as long as Israel’s assault on Gaza persisted.

“The link between the supportive Lebanese front and Gaza is definitive, final, and conclusive,” he said. “No one will be able to de-link them.” He also addressed the displaced, saying: “If you want to solve the issue, go to your government and tell them to stop the war on Gaza.”

The conflict has already resulted in the displacement of tens of thousands from both sides of the border, escalating fears of a larger-scale conflict between these heavily armed adversaries. In his address, Nasrallah directly appealed to the displaced Israeli families, urging them to influence their government to halt the offensive in Gaza if they wished to return home by September 1st, in time for the new academic year.

Despite international efforts, including attempts by Egypt and Qatar, to broker a cease-fire, progress stalled last week after Israel dismissed a proposed plan from mediators. Meanwhile, Israeli forces have launched significant operations both in the ruins of northern Gaza and across southern entry points, signaling a deepening of the military engagement.
