Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned on Wednesday of a potentially “hot summer” as military tensions escalate along the Israel-Lebanon border. This stern prediction comes amid a series of aggressive military exchanges between the two sides, highlighting a significant escalation in hostilities that began last October.
This comes after Israel executed heavy airstrikes targeting Hizbullah positions in southern Lebanon, which resulted in the deaths of three Palestinian fighters affiliated with the Quds Brigades and at least one Hizbullah fighter. The conflict has already had a profound impact on civilians, with approximately 60,000 residents from northern Israel and 90,000 from Lebanon displaced due to the ongoing strikes.
