NOC Enid is hosting the March Planetarium Show starring “The Legend of Hercules.”
The show will begin at 7 p.m. on April 4 in the Mackie Planetarium, located northwest of the campus. Planetarium Director Fritz Osell will be orchestrating the event for the public.
Osell will also open the dome to show the night sky over Enid and point out where interesting formations can be found. The theme for the show this month will be the planets.
Osell talked about the evening’s events.
“We’ll show visitors our night sky from Enid and point out stars having known planetary systems,” Osell said. “You will be quite surprised at how many stars have planets. We will also demonstrate to visitors how to gain access to remotely operated telescopes in the Canary Islands and in Chile.”
The show is free, but non-perishable food donations are always welcome. All donations will be given to Our Daily Bread.
