>>Alaska, Mississippi Senate Race Vote Counting Continues

(Anchorage, AK) – We probably won’t have a winner declared in Alaska’s razor-tight Senate race until well into November. The race is separated by just 637 votes, and Alaska Republican Governor Mike Dunleavy said a new batch of ballots won’t arrive for counting until November 13th. The race was upended after the New York Times reported operatives connected to Democrat Mary Peltola’s campaign and national Democrats worked to recruit candidate with the same name as Republican incumbent Senator Dan Sullivan in an attempt to confuse voters. Meanwhile in Mississippi’s Senate race, the vote counting continues between Democrat Scott Colom [[ kuh-LOHM ]] and Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith.
